Our goal is to raise awareness about Speech and Debate getting cut from our school's curriculum. Speech and Debate is not only an incredible class, but an incredible catalyst for change in young students. It is for this reason that we wish to preserve this extraordinary opportunity for future attendees of Tarkanian.

Speech and Debate at Tarkanian has truly made a remarkable impact on my life. For example, it has opened the door for many opportunities I have never had before. We got to debate back and forth between exciting topics, there were many improvs (making up material on the spot), and even a play! I had never gotten to experience any of these before, either out of uninterest or even fear. Also, the teacher, Mr. Moffett, is truly incredible at heightening the experience in this class. With all his wisdom and the occasional “joke,” I look forward to coming to his class every day. This experience, along with everything else that this class did for me, would be experienced by all students who get the opportunity to come to this great school. Thus, we must make sure that Speech and Debate stays at Tarkanian, for without this class, students would miss out on wondrous opportunities.
